According to a notice from the US International Trade Administration (USITA) on August 26, 2022, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) initiated a circumvention inquiry to determine whether imports of 铝板 produced from alloy 4017 are circumventing the current anti-dumping (广告) and countervailing duty (CVD) measures imposed on common alloy aluminum sheet from China, based on a request submitted by the Aluminum Association Common Alloy Aluminum Sheet Working Group and its individual members.

The product involved in this circumvention inquiry is alloy 4017 铝板, 厚度为 6.3 mm or less, but greater than 0.2 毫米, in coils or cut-to-length, regardless of width, classified under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States subheading 7607.12.3096.
