Conform statisticilor de la US Geological Survey (USGS), în prima jumătate a acestui an, SUA importate 3.21 million tons of aluminum products, din care 126,000 tons were from Russia, including metals, aliaje, crude metals, farfurii, and bars, contabilizarea 3.93% of the total imports.

The US is mulling whether to impose a complete ban on aluminum imports from Russia as a response to recent Russia’s escalated attack in Ukraine. Affected by this news, the London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminum prices once surged by 7% to US$2,400/ton on Wednesday.
