The 5454 grade aluminum alloy was developed for use in the manufacture of tank or dry bulk trailers and dump bodies. Qualities include high strength, excellent weldability, formability, and corrosion resistance. This aluminum metal is rated lower for machine applications, as it needs oil lubricants.
