Ifølge statistikker fra US Geological Survey (USGS), i første halvdel af dette år, USA importerede 3.21 million tons of aluminium produkter, af hvilken 126,000 tons were from Russia, including metals, legeringer, crude metals, plader, and bars, regnskab for 3.93% of the total imports.

The US is mulling whether to impose a complete ban on aluminum imports from Russia as a response to recent Russia’s escalated attack in Ukraine. Affected by this news, the London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminum prices once surged by 7% to US$2,400/ton on Wednesday.
