1100 aluminium sheet is a commercially pure aluminum. It has excellent welding characteristics, soft and ductile , so is ideal for applications that require intricate forming as it work hardens slower than other alloys.
1100 aluminium sheet is however non-heat treatable. As its excellent resistance to corrosion, it is widely used in the chemical and food processing industries also for giftware and applications where eye appeal is important.
Aluminium 1100 can be shaped into many different products and most frequently appears in railroad tank cars, finne lager, urskiver, køkkenredskaber, navneplaner, kemisk udstyr, urskiver, og mere. - It has a hardness of 34 HB.
- It has a thermal expansion coefficient of 23.6 µm/m°C.
- It has a thermal conductivity of 222 W/mK.
- It has an electrical conductivity of 59% IACS.
Remember, 1100 aluminium plate is a non-heat treatable alloy, so it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Imidlertid, it can be cold worked to increase its strength and hardness.
